Come To Privacy Policy

Effective October 7, 2026

Come To is an Android app that helps users interrupt long scrolling sessions in apps they choose. The first Google Play release is designed to work locally on the device without an account, advertising, analytics, or a Come To backend.

Data Come To uses on the device

Come To may process the following information locally to provide its timer and reminder features:

  • the apps installed on the device that can be launched, so the user can choose which apps to monitor;
  • Android package names for the apps the user selects;
  • foreground-app usage information made available through Android Usage Access;
  • optional Accessibility window-package events, when the user explicitly enables the App switching feature;
  • selected apps, configured timer intervals, timer remainders, monitoring state, and permission/setup preferences;
  • local diagnostic information such as timer state, monitoring mode, selected package names, query counts, and recent state transitions.

This information is used to run user-configured timers, pause or resume the relevant timer when the foreground app changes, show the interruption reminder at the configured threshold, and diagnose problems.

Data transmission and sharing

The release described by this policy does not include an Internet permission, advertising SDK, analytics SDK, account system, or developer-operated backend. Come To does not transmit the information above to the developer or to third parties.

Diagnostics remain on the device unless the user explicitly taps the action to copy them to the system clipboard and then chooses to paste or share them elsewhere.

Android permissions and special access

Come To can ask the user to enable:

  • Usage Access — used to determine which app is active and account for time spent in selected apps.
  • Display over other apps — used to show the user-requested interruption reminder over the selected app when its timer reaches the threshold.
  • Notifications — used for the ongoing monitoring notification and timer status.
  • Accessibility: App switching (optional) — used only to receive window package changes so Come To can promptly route app changes to the timer configured for that app. Come To does not retrieve screen content, read text, take screenshots, perform gestures, or control other apps through Accessibility. Users can decline this optional service and continue with periodic Usage Access checks.
  • Foreground service — keeps a user-started monitoring session running while the user uses other apps and keeps that ongoing work visible in a notification.

Users can revoke these permissions or special accesses at any time in Android Settings. Monitoring can also be paused from Come To or its notification.

This website

The Come To website does not use advertising SDKs, third-party analytics tools, tracking pixels, account forms, or marketing cookies in its current version. It does not intentionally ask visitors to submit personal information through the site.

When a visitor clicks a Get it on Google Play button, the website stores a small first-party event containing the click time, the button placement, and the page path. This event does not contain a user ID, cookie identifier, fingerprint, IP address, or screen content and is used only to understand which download buttons are being used.

The infrastructure provider used to host the website may separately process ordinary technical request information, such as IP addresses and server logs, as part of delivering and securing the site. That processing is governed by the hosting provider's own terms and privacy practices.

Storage and retention

Come To stores its configuration and timer state locally on the device. Data remains until it is reset in the app, cleared through Android app settings, or removed by uninstalling the app, subject to Android platform behavior.

Come To disables Android cloud backup for its local app data.

Children

Come To does not knowingly create profiles of children or collect personal information from children. The final Google Play target-audience selection is maintained in the Play listing and may be updated independently of this policy.

Changes to this policy

If a future version adds networking, analytics, accounts, cloud sync, advertising, or other data handling, this policy and the Google Play Data safety declaration will be updated before or alongside that release.
